Normally, I'd keep this information confidential due to this information being related to one of my missions, but since my master the Purple Karjam requested me to tell you how I got my keyblade, I may as well share the story. I won't divulge much into the details, but I will share the most important information.

My mission was an important one: recognition. My master heard tales of a being who's been going around causing havoc within worlds just so that more Heartless was formed, complicated by the fact that other worlds were starting to fall under darkness due to the involvement of the Heartless. We've heard of Organization XIII and well as their goals, but they wouldn't be active at this point within the timeline. And yes, I did play the Kingdom Hearts video games before going on this mission. After all, information is everything within my line of work.

The world my master sent me is, at this point in time, yet to be revealed within a video game. I will not be saying what the world is, but what I will say is that it's definitely interesting. I managed to synthesize for myself a fancy new katana from a local Moogle that which I had dubbed the "Masamune", after that great swordsmith for which I hold great respect to. I also named it that due the trend for similarly-named swords to appear across the various "Final Fantasy" worlds. I was disguised as a commonner on my mission.

I eventually found the culprit: A big fat cat who looked straight out of the cartoon. Pete. I heard he was gathering Heartless to grow Maleficent's army. Curiosity got a hold of me, so I shadowed him, making sure he didn't notice (something I'm good at). He seems to be acting as a tempter, causing people to give into primeval emotions just so that darkness could consume their hearts and turn them into Heartless. Forcing someone to lose their sense of self awareness? I may be amoral, but even I value my sense of self awareness as there was a time where I didn't have true self awareness. Anger was burning inside me as I watch more and more people turn into darkness. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore and took my chance.

Since this world has yet to be revealed within an official work, my master had given me permission to do acts such acts as long as I don't interfere with the workings of non-notable characters, his reasoning being it would most likely not to impact the timeline in a major way. I do not care about doing the right thing, nor do I care about doing wrong. I fight for my master and those that I care about, which includes these people.

I blew my cover to confront Pete, threatening him to destroy his army with my own might if he doesn't stop. He responded with a laugh, then a taunt. "Only a keyblade can destroy the heartless. Best be giving up, boy!" I know for the fact it's impossible to truly destroy a heartless using conventional weaponry. It's possible to slay them, yes, but only a keyblade can unseal their hearts from darkness and destroy their Heartless form. I may not be able to permanently destroy them, but at least I'll be able to drive them away.

I decided to go with an intimidation tactic. As a literal being of illusions, I can project them at will to make them seem as they are real when they're actually not. My intimidation tactic involves forming an illusion around my Masamune so that it resembles a keyblade. While I can't form illusions pure enough to be real while I'm corporeal, I can still form normal illusions to trick my opponents.

The tactic worked surprisingly well. So well, I could've sworn the Heartless are being released from the darkness as if they were struck by a real keyblade, which also scared away Pete for the time being. Curious, I've examined my weapon. My own shapeshifting ability works by me creating an illusion around my true phantom self. An illusion so pure, it becomes real. I could only form such pure illusions while in my true form, and even then, it tends to be very tiresome if I try to do it multiply times in a row while in my true form. Imagine my surprise when I discovered the illusion I conjured around my sword seemed to have taken a corporeal form and completely engulfed it. This rarely happens with my more impure illusions. My very nature may as well be magical, but this event seems unusual even for me.

A thought had occured to me: If my keyblade illusion had become as corporeal as my human form, does that mean it's completely real? I went to a nearby chest to find out. Normally, I'd have to resort to the tedious and cumbersome process of lockpicking due to this chest being locked, but if I remembered correctly from the time I've been looking into this universe's lore, a keyblade would could unlock anything. A light tap, and the chest was unlocked. It contained a simple Potion, but that's not what gave me glee. A simple weapon that can unlock anything will come in very handy within my line of work.

I eventually remembered the obligations to my master and met with my master.
"You have something to report, Yoshiro?"
"Yes, PK. I've successfully scouted the area. It's as you said - there was suspicious activity there, particularly in regards to a certain cartoon cat named 'Pete'."
"Have you sorted it out?"
"For now, yes."
I sighed. "PK, I have something else to report about as well. It's about me managing to create a real keyblade..."
