"What's this?" asked a client.
"A 3D printer," I replied. "Put a blob of plastic in there, send some instructions to it via a computer, and..."

One fiddling with the computer later, the machine spurred to life, creating something made out of plastic. I took the item and shown it to my client.

"What do you think?" I asked.
"It's a cartoon version of your face..." he said
"Yes?"
"...which has blue eyes instead of your brown for some reason."
"L-Let me see that."
I looked at my mould. "Hmm, must've got something wrong in my script..."
While it's true I turn my eyes turn blue whenever I'm surprised (something most people don't notice), my natural eye colour happens to be brown".

"Anyway," I carried on. "Is there something you want?"
"Are you done with the computer program I asked you to do."
"Huh? Oh, S-Sorry. I can get all excited about my other projects, sometimes."
I handed him a disk.
"Right, that would be 10 000 Munny."
I should probably start by introducing myself. Dr. Richard J. De Goede, Computer Scientist. Surname's Dutch. I'm sometimes also known by my alternate name 'Richard 'The Blue Karjam'" ("Blue K" for short), particularly if there's someone with the same name as me nearby. I'm part of what everyone else back in Karjam's Domain refer to as "PK's Trio", a group consisting of me, a (technically amoral) ninja spirit Yoshiro Sugimoto and the "researcher of literally everything (and part-time superhero)" PK himself.

I would consider myself the most normal of the group. Doing so, however, is a bit of a stretch. In addition to my great expertise in my field of research, I am gifted with a special technology that grants me the ability to shapeshift.  Other than for personal enjoyment, I don't do so much nowadays except while attacking, although I may still do so if I'm given a reason to do so. My weapon of choice is the war hammer, chosen because crushing and piercing my enemies seem too icky to me, for some reason.

Anyway, I was helping with programming for someone from Radiant Garden's main castle. Something about needing a program to help handle data related to "Hearts". I never fully understood what they were going on about.  At least the operating system seemed familiar, seeing it resembling the exact same operating system ENCOM made. This was a few months ago. Today. I'm just relaxing at home, doing things in my spare time. (Wouldn't it be weird to play a "Kingdom Hearts" game here? Just saying. PK wouldn't had wanted it).

I eventually decided to look at the war hammer I got from a local Moogle here. Nothing too fancy. Just a colorful-looking war hammer that's surprisingly quite light (for a one with a huge head such as this one). The Moogle that sold it to me said it had potential for magic. Always wondered what it would be like to wield a Disney-like hammer. That's why I've brought it in the first place. It was not long from now that the attack happened...
Heartless! Heartless everywhere! Just as when I was about to sleep. This situation seemed familiar, somehow, as if I should've known about this beforehand. Worried about the others' safety, I took out my war hammer and headed out to join several spitting images of Final Fantasy characters defending the area.

I consider myself pretty good with war hammers. So good, in fact, that I've actually taught myself an entire martial art that revolves around them, complete with channeling Chi energy to perform ranged non-elemental strikes and devastating fire-elemental melee attacks. (I could do other elements as well, but I usually prefer to stick to these two types of attacks unless I see the need the other elements).

It was then that I noticed the figure controlling the Heartless: A feminine figure with literally yellow eyes and white-colored skin wearing devilish blackish-purple clothes while wielding a staff. It was then that I remembered the events of the official Kingdom Hearts timeline. This was Maleficent: A Fae obsessed with dominion over all worlds. This must be the event where Maleficent attacked Radiant Garden and turned all but the castle into ruins.

I loved this place so much. Why does things like this have to happen? I don't  care about preserving the timeline. Just that the people here are safe. This was when I decided to draw my attention to attacking Maleficent.

I did fairly well, considering Maleficent is a powerful sorceress whose force mustn't be reckoned with. I was so focused on attacking and driving her away that I didn't really pay attention to anything she said (I can only focus on one thing at a time). It was only then that she mentioned me wielding a keyblade that I got distracted. Me? Wielding a keyblade? Maleficent took this opportunity to land a critical strike...
"You can't fight what's already written within the Book of Prophesy", said PK, my trusted friend in purple who happens to look a lot like me.
"Don't you mean, 'you can't fight the events that happened within the game?'" I asked.
"I meant the Book of Prophesy," replied PK. "It has information the games does not cover."

PK and I were walking down a calm street with the night skies above us. How I made it out alive, you may ask? Well, let me explain: When I get within a dire situation, I would be rescued either by my ninja friend Yoshiro Sugimoto or the Purple Karjam himself ("PK" for short). This happens every single time. They even had to resort to time travel in the past just to rescue my hide. Not that I regret about this, however. I may consider myself a proficient fighter, but even I know I can't win every single time. After all, I know I'm not invincible. That, and my absent-mindedness tends to sometimes get me into trouble. Like it did within the Maleficent fight.

"I-I only wanted to save the people of Radiant Garden..." I said.
"Don't worry, Richard. Most of them are safe," said PK.
"..What do you mean?" I asked.
"This is Traverse Town: a place of refuge for those who need it. Their world was wrecked by heartless, making it unsuitable for living within. A portal to this town appeared before them, granting them a temporary place to stay until Radiant Garden )now named Hollow Bastian due to castle being the only structure still standing) becomes suitable for living in again."
"Well, at least they're safe," I said with relief.

A thought popped up in my mind. "I want to ask something," I said. "What did Maleficent mean by me having a keyblade?"
"Glad that you asked," said PK. "Hold out your hand and will a keyblade to it."
"...Huh?"
"Trust me on this."

I have no reason to doubt a friend who never kids about this sort of thing, so I did so. I hold out my hand and concentrated. To my shock, the magical hammer I used to fight Maleficent's threat appeared in my hand in a literal (non-blinding) flash.
"H-Huh!?"
"Look at it carefully," said PK.
Coming to think of it, the weapon did kinda change shape while I was fighting Maleficent. I was just so busy attacking her to notice. The head of the hammer is now thinned out and tattered on both ends, making it resemble the teeth of a key. In addition, there's now a sort of a handle near the end for which I'm now gripping my hammer hammer.

"Do you see it now?" PK carried on. "Your war hammer has been transformed. The creation of new keyblades are rare, indeed. So rare, not many people know how exactly they are to be created. Treasure your newfound keyblade. It's yours and yours alone. No one else can wield it."
"Thanks, I guess," I said.

Still speechless, I looked at my new keyblade. Particularly interesting piece of equipment. At least I now don't have to worry about leaving the keys at home and the like. I decided to name it the "Worrier's Determination" due to it symbolizing my spirit. The spelling's intentional - due to my anxiety disorder, I constantly worry.

I did a few practice attacks based upon my skills with the hammer. In spite of it being a totally different kind of weapon, I find I could still do the exact same attacks I could do while wielding my war hammers. Something on my keyblade then caught my eye. "Huh, never expected that failed 3D print to become its keychain..."
"You have something to report, Yoshiro?"
"Yes, PK. I've successfully scouted the area. It's as you said - there was suspicious activity there, particularly in regards to a certain cartoon cat named 'Pete'."
"Have you sorted it out?"
"For now, yes."
He sighed. "PK, I have something else to report about as well. It's about me managing to create a real keyblade..."
